The Team
Christina Carey and the people who work with her
christinacarey.it is my practice: every file is set up by me and discussed with the bank's decision-makers the same way. Marco Basile works alongside me — with buyers who prefer French, Spanish or Arabic, and with those based in France and Switzerland.
Who we are
One practice. Five languages.
American in Milan for ten years, Italian citizen. Native English, fluent French (five years in Paris) and Italian. I obtained my own Italian mortgage as a foreigner with no credit history, and I set up and follow every file personally — from feasibility to the notaio.
Italian, from Turin, with a degree in languages and international relations and years of living and working across every continent. Five languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish and Arabic. Based forty minutes from Geneva, he explains the Italian process in plain terms and follows clients alongside me.
How we work together
Who do you talk to?
Whoever you speak to first, the method does not change: I read your income documents the way an Italian underwriter will, shortlist the banks that actually process your profile, and present the file to the people who decide. Marco joins the conversation where a language or a location makes the difference — and for some clients he is the main contact from the first call.
| Your situation | Who follows you | Language of the call |

| Expat in the Gulf (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar) | Marco, with Christina | Arabic or English |

| Italian abroad (AIRE) or returning to Italy | Christina or Marco | Italian |

The mediation contract, the absence of any upfront fee and the 1%–4% success fee due only at the notary closing are the same whoever follows your file: see regulatory status and fees and the OAM public register.
